Welcome…

Welcome to the web-page of the Reformed Church of Silverstream and thank you for visiting this site. If you are unfamiliar with our churches, we hope that you will gain some insight into what we stand for. It is our desire that everything we are and everything we do, would be in service to the Living God, and to His glory.

A Brief History:
The Reformed Churches of New Zealand, of which the Reformed Church of Silverstream is a part, are a federation of congregations found in both the North and South Islands. In the 1950’s, many European immigrants came to New Zealand. Those who were committed to the Biblical truths held forth by the 16th century Protestant Reformation, found that many of New Zealand’s Protestant churches had departed from their Reformational roots. These immigrants established the Reformed Churches of New Zealand. The first three such churches were instituted in 1953. The Reformed Church of Silverstream, a “daughter” of the Reformed Church of Wellington, was instituted in 1963.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, […] think about such things.” Philippians 4:8
